NAT 2006 ON SCHEDULE

Mark your calendar for North American Tunneling Conference, NAT 2006 Extreme Tunneling. The biennial conference will be held, June 10-15, 2006, Palmer House Hilton, Chicago, Illinois. The conference is organized by the newly formed Underground Construction Association of SME and will feature all the hallmarks of excellence that NAT attendees have come to expect.

NAT 2006 features timely programs including; Project Management and Predicting and Controlling Costs and Schedules, Identifying, Quantifying and Managing Risk in Underground Construction, Alternative Delivery Methods for Underground Works, Stakeholder Interests in Design and Construction , Going Underground: Protecting Critical infrastructure, Transit Oriented Development: Making the Case for Going Underground, Going Public: Selling the Underground Solution, Show Me the Money: Creative Financing for Underground Projects, Innovations in Tunneling, Soft Ground Tunnels, Tunnel Lining Design, Challenging Tunnel Design, Specialized Urban Construction, Ground Modification for Underground Construction. Machine Mining: Soft Group to Hard Rock and Everything In Between, Conventional Underground Construction.

NAT 2006 is the premier underground event of the year in North America. It will be the only event gathering practicing professionals for networking and exchange of new technology along with up to date information on current issues affecting the issues.

Other conference activities include Better Contracting Practices Workshop, Status of Yellow book, social functions and a field trip.
